Technology is huge and growing everyday. 30 years ago we could say differently but coming from an artist point of view, it is relatively challenging. CGI is the answer to the How can we make them believable? Where do we start? These are all questions that CGI artists ask themselves when given the challenge of creating.
When I first decided I wanted to learn about film, I had to ask myself where can I see the future heading? Practical VS Visual is a tough debate. The more advance we get, the harder it is for practical effects. How can we make a super hero fly? How can a made up character shoot flames or how can we emerge an imaginary world into a reality? With saving time and money, visual effects is the answer however practical effects will it's counterpart as they work both hand in hand and always be a part of the film industry.
